Re: spark plug wires 7mm Vs 8.5mm
T8.5 mm wires will probably hold up better and be harder to rip when you try to remove them . the Summit branded Taylor wires are very good and priced right .they also have a higer resistance to being burned by headers or exaust manifolds. so size doe's matter no matter what your girl friend tells you.

by the way, they just did a survey and they asked a group of 500 men what they liked best about oral sex , 10% said it was the feeling, 20% said they liked the feeling of dominance and control over women, and 70% said they liked the peace and quiet best .

Re: spark plug wires 7mm Vs 8.5mm
Be careful - I just bought the MSD 32829 8.5mm wires. When I tried to install them I realized that they are slightly longer than the originals, and do not have the aluminum shield. The result of these two differences is that the plastic sheath is too near my exhaust headers, and they start to melt!
I have not come up with a solution to this yet. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Re: spark plug wires 7mm Vs 8.5mm
for headers you will need the heat proof cloth covers ,the Summit catolog has them .or you can use header wrap ,but the wire covers are neater .

Re: spark plug wires 7mm Vs 8.5mm
Now you know why ceramic coated headers are so popular they wont burn your wires ,they also reduce engine compartment temps quite a bit.
