Do they? I believe they used to have a fantastic military, with some great commanders, and the will to win and win quick. This was backed by the government. I believe this has changed...look at last year...

If things continue as they are in the arab world it is possible that Israel (probable ???, who knows) may use the BIG BOOM to settle some/a large argument, if it comes to a "them or us" scenario...
