Default Sirius S50 install kit install

I have a aftermarket sirius reciver, I would like to try to do it myself and not pay the labor to put it in. Ideas on power tap in the fuse block?
and how to get the antenna into the cabin?

You can run down the A-pillar area, after removing the external A-pillar trim. Of if you want to install in the rear and not afraid of drilling a few holes, you can remove the external D-pillar trim and bring the wires in that way. (I just did for two CB antennas.)

As for power, my suggestion would be to tap into a RAP (retained accessory power) circuit. That way the Sirius receiver stays on just like the radio will after the ignition is turned off. In each kick panel there is a big yellow wire for the door locks/windows, or there are some circuits for the rear wiper, heater, etc. that are on the RAP circuit.

Yeah.. The Yellow wire...

For the Antenna.. I would and DID pop a new hole in the firewall right beside where the hood latch cable goes through.. From there runs the cable up behind the trim going up to the roof..

One thing to keep in mind.. Plastic does NOT block reception for the sat signal.. If it's small enough you can even hid ethe actual antenna under the black trim.. I've got the same unit my wife does in her car with the antenna sitting ON her trunk deck and I still get fewer signal drops around town between buildings and under trees than she does...
