Opinions on Magnaflow split dual...
Hi, looking for opinions or fact, resonance, sound volume (normal driving, not Xtreme Guzzler Mode), fit and quality. I don't go off road (potholes excluded), so I'm not worried about damage.
Best price I've found is $615/free ship. If anyone knows of a comparable system, let me know.
Filled up today for $3.53. Yahoo! Shell is giving away $2,900 a day in free gas. Wow, compare that to the $11.56 billion PROFIT it made in 90 days. Calculate it out, $1,535/second profit, they are giving away under 2 seconds worth of profit. Sorry, got off on a tangent.
Thanks for any input on the exhaust.
-Dave

Re: Opinions on Magnaflow split dual...
My last H2 needed a new muffler, and I found a special for a magnaflow cat back system and bought it for less than $500. Installed myself in 30 mins, and it sounded awesome. A little loud inside with the resonance but I got used to it. When I have some spare cash I'm getting another one for my current rig.

Re: Opinions on Magnaflow split dual...
I would have to agree with PaHumbug, I have the same system on H2, Its a little loud at certain RPM's, but really does sound good, especially when I kick in the ass
I would also say it didn't do anything for performance gains or fuel economy gains. I also paid around 500.00. I hope this helps with your chioce.

Re: Opinions on Magnaflow split dual...
PaHumBug or Metallic Red,
Were your systems the split duals like the poster asked about or the one with both tips together exiting on the passenger side???
I just got the split duals, partly because of looks and partly because of the air bags on my adventure package (the other kit says it doesnt fit with air bags). I am curious about the 'drone' on the split kit versus other.

There are 2 kits offered by Magnaflow. One that has 2 pipes together and exits on the passenger side where the stock exhaust does. The other has 2 pipes that are separated. One exits out back about 1/3 the way across the bumper from the left and the other about 1/3 the way across the bumper from the right. Basically like a typical dual exhause would. You cant make one kit do the other.
Yep, Marauder is for the Mercury Marauder.
I have a turbocharged 2003 (I added the kit, of course they are naturally aspirated from the factory) with Ford GT (ford gt40 'supercar')cylinder head swap and race built short block with all forged internals, coated pistons, etc.......
Sorry you had to sell yours. But I understand the 'too many toys' thing!!!!!

Re: Opinions on Magnaflow split dual...
I had the kit with both tips side by side on the passengers side. It was the only kit I found by magnaflow at the time, it was a couple years ago. I almost cut the tips off anyway. Just more bling to clean...

Re: Opinions on Magnaflow split dual...
I vote for CORSA. A little more money, but no interior drone with the touring or sport. You can pick a single tip or dual. I had that exhasut on my H2's. Loved it!!!!
