Default Door chime volume way to high

Does anyone know of a way to reduce or otherwise adjust the volume of the door chime? I have an 03 H2 and the chime is crazy loud. Thanks

I think there's an option in the Menu that you select on the steering wheel. Cycle thru there there's quite a few things you can change.

I don't believe you can change the door chime volume.

there is a reflash for the radio for this concern. If the radio has been replaced they may have programmed it wrong.

My 06 has an option in the touchscreen radio to adjust the volume of the chime...not sure if the 03 has the same?

At least it isn't one of those easy questions. I don't have the touch screen - regular radio with CD.

I agree. My '05 is WAY loud! I doubt the radio has been replaced though. Is the reflash a TSB or something?

I have an 04 with 6 CD changer. Mine was cranking loud. This worked to fix it.

Quote:
Chime Level Adjustment
The radio is the vehicle?s chime producer. To change
the volume level, press and hold pushbutton 6 with
the ignition on and the radio power off. The chime
volume level will change from the normal level to loud,
and LOUD will appear on the radio display. To
change back to the default or normal setting, press and
hold pushbutton 6 again. The chime level will change
from the loud level to normal, and NORMAL will appear
on the radio display. Removing the radio and not
replacing it with a factory radio or chime will disable
vehicle chimes.
