Default Stabilitrak Chime Warning (even when off)

Hey just got back from my second trip to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and delighted to say that my H3 w\adventure got around great in the sand again. Even on day 2 when the sand was super powdery.

I'm finding in the sand that I get along best in 4 HI Lock with 16 PSI and Stabilitrack turned off. I cycle through to turn off the annoying DIC messages such as low tire. But I get the oddest thing, when two or 4 tires leave the ground at any real speed (I would guess over 15 mph) stabilitrack starts chiming again and pops up on the DIC. Anyone no of a way to turn this off, it is really distracting.

Anyone know how to make my HUMMER live by the Silence is Golden rule

Never will GM allow the turn off of the tire pressure warnings. I have called a few about turning it off at least when 4-lock low is engaged (someone elses idea here on the site), and I was told NEVER. Legal won't allow it and that is that. But, most I talked to said it was a good idea, and maybe in the future...
As for the stab being off and the system chiming when you are in the air, possibly it is due to the spinning tire(s), it is chiming to remind you it is off, when it should be on. Just a thought....

My simple solution to the chiming:

Since the chiming is connected thru the radio system, cut of the wire from your wire harness that sends the signal to the radio, or better yet replace your radio with an aftermarket radio or nav system and do not connect a chime module...... viola chime problem solved.

Just hope you don't forget to turn off you lights. Even with the low voltage shut-off for the battery. Not sure if I would want to put that to the test.

True Enough, you can't turn off the low tire pressure and stabilitrak messages as the the little (!) alarm will always stay on. What I should have said is I cycle through on the DIC so that the darn warning doesn't stay on the display the entire time I'm wheeling.

As far as the other, how can HUMMER expect all four wheels to stay on the ground? Sounds far fetched to me

I believe that would be the purple wire. Great idea, just cut that one and the chiming will stop.

So, while you are wheeling you have time to look at the DIC...cool....

Your DIC is part of the Serial Data Bus (purple wire(s)), removing this wire will set codes up the rear end and drive you nuts with the service engine light on. So, it is best to leave your DIC alone.

I want to be able to disable the chime only when the running lights are on and the truck is off (sitting around w/the stud lights on) or when the key is in the ignition or ACC when the door is open. I like the chimes the rest of the time. Is there a way to wire a little micro switch inline with a wire somewhere to shut off the chimes temporarily?
