Hey..

Have any of you painted the black Louver covers above the brake lights ?

I have a 05 "white" Lux and I've seen some that looked good painted. I'm not going to do the bumpers just the louver covers. Do you think I could get by using some spray paint made for plastic ?

If you've done it post a pic and explain..

Let me know ! Thanks !

I wouldn't do it with spray paint cause it won't match the factory paint color. It wouldn't be hard to do though as they pop off very easily. Take it to a paint shop and have them match the paint color number on the inside of your door. Shouldn't be more than 50 - 100 at most.

i agree with frank. the louvers are plastic and a flex additive has to be mixed with the paint or it will just flake off.

I didn't even think to mention that, I was just thinking about color match. There would be many days of happy touch ups doing it with spray paint. You might be able to get away with it since that piece isn't really prone to shifting or flexing but I would still prefer to have it done professionally.

Just take the plastic parts you want painted to your local body shop to have it done. It will save you a bunch of time with a spray can and it will look like it should. BIG-C
