Default Body Mounts (x12)

Looking to trouble shoot a problem I have (pop when truning and sometimes when stopping. It feels like a slap in the floor pan...

I suspect the body mounts. Do you guys just replace the lowers? Or do you replaece all of them (upper/lower and cups).

Where can I get a good deal? I understand I should paint them before I replace them...

Planning on doing this (if its the problem and I suspect it is) this spring along with the hubs and brakes.

I have not found any good prices...

Default Re: Body Mounts (x12)

I had all of mine replaced, didn't stop the problem (which sounds the same). I have yet to find the solution to that noise after various attempts. I am just waiting for an A-arm or something to fall off and expose itself....

Thanks Ed, to cool....

Now where do I get the bottom body mounts, is it a dealer thing?

I would like to do the front 4 bottoms and put the washer on the cross member (anyone have a pic of what I am looking for there?).

Also plan on trying to do the plastic washer... will just need to figure out how to raise the body to get the upper out???

I love the truck, I just whish I wasnt chasing things so much... but still worth it.

Also do these torque specs look close?
1. Loose front cross member bolts - Tighten the bolts to 120 N.m (89 lb ft).
2. Loose lower control arm bolt ?
3. Bad body mount (esp. ones at very front) Tighten the bolts to(63 lb ft).
4. Skid plate bent and snagging on cross member
5. Loose bolts on sway bar connector ?
6. Worn bushings on sway bar connector
7. Loose shock mounts ?
8. Loose engine mounts
9. Loose rear trailing arm bolts ?
10. Engine shield and trans skid plate are 20 N•m (15 lb ft).

also:
Part Standard (ft-lb) Metric (Nm)
Control Arm Bushing 260 354
Control Arm Bracket 90 122
Shock Absorber Bottom Bracket 178 242
Shock Pin-Top/Bottom 300 408
Stabilizer Bar Link to Control Arm 70 95
Stabilizer to Bar Link 75 100

Washer size (Crossmember)
Inside Diameter 14mm (0.551 in)
Outside Diameter 24mm (1.38 in)
Thickness 3mm (0.118 in)

anything else I should tighten?
