SPLTank,
Someone on this forum is making stronger ones but they are not ready yet. Hopefully he will read your post and respond.

That's Steve's buddy, Billy but I think it's still in development for the 2.0 version.
On that note, I took my truck into Sherman Oaks yesterday and talked to the tech as he worked on mine (these guys know what's up), anyway we talked about broken tie rods. He said he has replaced 3 so far (but that's just him).
He said "the 2004 tie rods are an updated version with a new part number" I don't know any more than this but he said it was indeed different. This is something to research if you have a knowledgeable dealer.

I think you might have meant a 2003? It'd be pretty rare to find a 2002 Hummer H2
I have also heard that the 2004 tie rods are a different part number, so hopefully a "new and improved" version?
Steve R can probably fill you in on the latest news about his buddy's new tie rod R&D.

That would be interesting to know. I have a friend that breaks them every other week....yes he abuses it badly. If anyone knows if this is an improvement over the 2003 let us know.
