yea actually coming back home from a weekend vacation we had one of our tires sidewall completely blow out about 30 mins away from home on the way back. Funny thing was the tire made it all the way there and all the 90% of the way back, then boom. The sidewall looked like somebody took a knife all the way down the sidewall. These were the factory tires because it was winter and I had my chromes off. My girl was driving at like 70mph and she did really good handling it , it could have been really bad. If your thinking of taking your spare off, which I did. I would just recommend you put it on for vacations and stuff. Anything around town if you need the tire have somebody go pick it up for you along with a jack and stuff to take off your lug nuts etc...

funny, i've had two nailes in my tires and not one punctured through enough to cause a leak. Love the BFG thread depth!

Yes, I had to mount the spare once.... Off road no less....

I had considered running with no spare up to that moment...

What I can't believe is that the factory jack is so smalll. I got high centered last week and didn't even think about getting that out! I am in need of a highlift for sure.

Yes. I actually could have used two one time while on the trail, but I rode for an hour with 7 psi in one tire with a vice grip duct taped to my wheel to hold the air valave together! I broke the bead on the other tire.

I have not used the spare, thinking of taking it off. Hell, that's what I pay On-Star for.
