Default Tires

Has anyone tried the Goodyear MTRs. I'm wondering how good they are over all. I see they come on some Wrangler models.

An H3 from Hawaii has them and he likes them a lot. He says they are pretty quiet on the road. I am considering the MT/Rs or the BFG mud terrian. The MT/Rs have been reviewed pretty well, only complaint is the soft rubber and having to rotate the tires often to keep them in good shape.

I have them in 305/70/17, and really like them. They are quieter than I expected, and seem to perform pretty well.

They are slated to be an option with the AMStar accessories available soon at the dealership. Definitely more expensive this way, but at least they think highly enough about them to offer them as an option.

IMO the Toyo Open Country M/T is the H3 Tire of CHOICE. Excellent tread pattern, hard compound with an excellent road quality. I have had my share of MTRs on my H1's. Offroading they are Very Good, but on road when its wet the are horrible. Hydroplaneing, and slipping on street is standard for the MTR'S. If I would get any tire upgrade it would be the Toyo Open COuntry M/T as I have or the BFG Mudd TErrain ( I had these sets on my H2's) Great Tires, VERY EXPENSIVE. Its your choice however the Toyo is going to give you everything you need and want. Plus ebay has a set of 4 for $925.00 Delivered. Cant beat that...

I've used a few sets of these on my truck, good tires

Think the next set on my truck is going to be maxxis bighorns.
