Death Valley has some great scenery. Thanks for posting the pictures. Great looking truck, too.
Next you're over this way, if you're up for some company, let me know. Not in August, though. Last time I was out there during that time of year it was so hot the crows wouldn't even fly. They walked around panting like dogs.
I saw your other thread about stalling -- were you out there alone?

Hey, Mister! Beautiful rig! Thanks for the great photos. From them, should we infer that the terrain in Death Valley is not too demanding? I ask because your shots mostly depict dirt road type terrain. Wondering about one issue. Have you ever tried running with that undersized spare? I suspect you are keeping it for the worst possible emergency, but I'm thinking running three 40 inchers and one 35 incher would scare the U-NO-WUT out of me. Thanks!

Death Valley has some rough terrains. But since I was out there alone, I didn't want to do anything crazy. Besides, I just got my H2 lifted a couple of weeks ago. I need to re-torque now.
Yes, I know the stock spare looks weenie but I didn't want to spend another $1000 just on a matching spare. I figure if I have to, I'll just use the spare like any other "baby" spare tire which will get me to the next service station. Also, I don't have a jack that's tall enough to lift my H2. I would have called AAA for a flat bed truck.
Definitely need to go out with you guys next time and go on rougher terrain. Just in case, always good to have somebody to help get out of a jam. Next stop, Moab, Utah.  |

Mister, NICE RIG! Thanks for posting the pics. We would love for you to join us in Moab. next trip will be in Sept/ October.. somwhere in there.
... not to beat a dead horse, but, you really do need to get a 5th tire/ rim. That $1000 is cheaper than reaplacing three other tires if you have to drive far. if you ever get a flat out in moab with us, you would be soooooooo stuck out there... could be worse in off camber situations. Getting a flat bed rig into the trails in Moab can be very costly (more than your $1K extra tire/ rim. You should also look into getting a jack also. Highlift jacks are cheap enough and their are pleanty of ways to mount them to your rig. Someone in our group always has one.
