I was perusing through my Ultimate Hummer Mag and saw an H2 ad and picture with a large hole mini grill and similar looking grill inserts. When I called DJ Motorsports in Calif., they said the grill inserts would be available either sometime before or after this years SEMA show which I think is in Nov. I already have a large hole mini grill and I think the similar inserts would be a compliment to it..Check out the ad picture.

you can edit your first post, save the pic, then delete it from your post. Open the pic up with a photo program, and resize it. Then edit your post again, and upload the new size!

Go for it brother, it looks good. I went with the vertical inserts and the matching billet mini with vertical bars.

The vertical looks great as well..The install doesn't seem too difficult. Can you share any tips? Thanks

H2Brute...youre right, the install is not too dificult at all. The billet grill is composed of 7 inserts that fit right into the openings on the grill. Each insert has an bracket that attaches to the bottom and lower part of the grill(towards the back of the grill). The bracket came pre drilled but it does require you to drill through the grill so you can put a bolt through both the bracket and the grill to secure it(on both top and bottom). All you do is put the insert into the slot in the grill, mark where you need to drill to make sure the predrilled bracket lines up with the grill, drill your bolt holes in the grill, put your bolt washer and nut on and you are in business. I would recommend taking your grill off to do the job and highly recommend using a dremel--it makes the install very easy. I hope this makes sense, if not ask away.

I've had a stainless steel grille insert for nearly three years now. It is one piece and requires no drilling. You could buy a piece of stainless bullet hole sheet and make one yourself pretty easy.

BTW You need cutouts in the upper corners of the first and last openings if you have a wraparound (or many other) grille guard for the guard mounts. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Any chances that slotted insert contributes to overheating?

I would discount the skid plate idea also. I have been running w/o my skid plate for some time now. With doing a couple of things under there and keeping an eye on my front diff (and just being lazy) I haven't put it back on yet. But my temp hasn't changed at long idles in this heat or pulling a trailer at speed.
