The ABS light came on and the display had the word Failue last Wednesday. Today I drove the car and the message was gone. I will bring it to the dealer on Monday but I was wondering if the computer saves such events or can this only be diagnosed if the ABS light is on.

That's the problem now. The light is off and no message anymore. I wonder if there is a history of such events in the on-board computer.

Most GM BCM's will hold retain codes for 40-80 igition cycles (ignition cycle defined as startup from a temp below a specificed temperature with the engine warming up to another specified temperature). I believe, but cannot verify at this time that the H3 will hold for 80 of these cycles.
The BCM is the main computer and acts as the depository of the codes outputted by other computers. So, there is a good chance if you called onstar right now, they would be able to obtain a code. If so, write it down, and give it to the dealer, just in case the codes are gone by the time you arrive at the dealer.

I called onstar and they could only analyze when the light was on. Next time I will call them immediate.
F5fstop anf Fourfourto thanks for the replies.
