Questions for 442...
Hey 442,
I was reading your sig and had some questions about your setup if you wouldnt mind answering them...
A) Where's the fridge?
B) The Eclipse system, did you keep the stock speakers or did you upgrade those as well?
B1) If you were stock at the start were you base or monsoon?
B2) If monsoon, did you need to bypass the monsoon amps?
B3) If Base, did you need to add an amp or was the Eclipse's built in amp enough to satisfy?
C) As to the nav system; is that dvd based? Flash drive based; how is it updated?
D) What is the circular handle device on top of your battery next to the light and what type of light is that anyways?
E) Did changing the stock radio to the Eclipse require any changes to the Onstar system or did that continue to work normally?
F) Did you need any special adapters for Sirius Sat. to work, also does it work through the eclipse touchscreen or do you still need the Sirius head unit (e.g. sportster 5)?
G) Are there video outs to run lines to head rest monitors?
H) Now that you have the Eclipse system, any regrets, would you have rather gotten something else?
Perhaps a list of Pro's/Cons?
Thanks,
Rich

Re: Questions for 442...
Hey 442,
Thanks for all that detail.
Regarding E) Did changing the stock radio to the Eclipse require any changes to the Onstar system or did that continue to work normally? Yes I had it put in by a recomended installer.
If you don't mind me asking, what did the whole purchase/install cost out the door? And Onstar no longer worked or continued to work normally?

Re: Questions for 442...
They installed a Onstar module and it works fine .
The total install was $2,000 no tax including rear cam and auto start was a extra $200.
