H2 upgrade mirror part numbers
Working to get my 2005 mirrors upgraded. Gave my dealer 15835056 and 15835057 as the numbers for 2006 replacement mirrors. He sent me 25774400and 25774401 numbers as upgrade mirrors for my truck. Anyone know if these are correct? Thanks

Actually, GM will give you one upgrade if your mirrors fail or have a rattling problem.

Is this a 'known and recognized' problem yet? Meaning... I just recently went out of warranty. (Problem is the auto fold does not work).

Re: H2 upgrade mirror part numbers
its a known problem. The 2006 mirrors work much better, the design is better , Some folks don't like the look but they're not bad. There is a bulletin number hus20050065 came out september 19, 2005. I took this to my dealer and after 2 attempts got new 2006 mirrors. Out of warranty may be a problem. In that case ebay may be your best bet. Take off the door panel, unhook the wiring harness, 4 bolts and your done. Good luck,

If it really is JUST out of warranty, you can probably make a case for the dealer to replace them, given the known problem and service bulletin. GM gives the Service Manager has the discretion to do this . But I wouldn't wait too long. Just tell them that they vibrate at freeway speeds and screw up your ability to see whatever is next to you. Good luck!

Damn! I just had the right one replaced due to rattles but they just gave me another stock '04 one! Bastards!
Perhaps it's becasue I only have the GMPP warranty at this point?

Re: H2 upgrade mirror part numbers
Dealer did the same to me, one new old style mirror. I went back and waved the bulletin at them. They changed out both mirrors for the new style. Be persistant. Call them names. It worked for me.
