Question 35" Cooper Discoverer STT Installed

I put them on the other day and they look awsome, pictures to follow soon (when I finally put on the RRO rock rail super sliders). The bigger tires make the truck, can't wait to get them offroad. Some things I have noticed since putting them on...Only minor rubbing when steering wheel is fully turned to the left. The only major thing I have noticed is a huge decrease in MPG. From reading all the posts on 35" tires I was prepared to lose some MPG but I think that what I'm getting now is alot less than before. I'm still trying to get an accurate MPG figure as this is only the first tank on the Coopers. I have been keeping the jack rabbit starts of the line to a minimum and speeds under 65mph. All in all I am very happy with the tires and I didn't buy the H3 for its fuel economy anyway. What pressure should the 35's be inflated to for highway driving? Offroad I was told I could probably go down to 12-15psi with no probs. Any suggetions?

Oh yeah, and I run the Toyos at ~40psi. Higher than that and they start crowning. But some are running other brands as high as 50psi.

Also, remember that your speedo/odo is going to be off with the bigger tires so the hit in mpg may not be as bad as you think. Mine dropped about 1-3mpg depending on the type of driving.

HUMMJAY (from other thread) that was your truck. Man that thing kicks A$$ in person. We loved everything about your ride! Did you or have you had problems with those tires chewing up the inner fenderwells? I loved the looks of those tires super meaty and tons of tread...

Very nice ride!

I just mounted some BFG MT 315/75/16...They look really good, but I did notice a big drop in MPG. I haven't figured out how much the drop is, but as soon as I do I'll post it

I'm not sure yet, I havent ben paying close attention but I think I've dropped about 50 miles per tank. I filled-up yesterday and hit the reset on the trip, should know for sure by the end of the week
