Does anyone have a suggestion regarding a brake upgrade for the H2. I installed the s/c and now I think it is time to upgrade the brakes. Any thoughts????

I bet you don't have to. The H2 has some powerful brakes; I understand people who have 37s or bigger tires (bigger circumference requires more robust braking) keep their current brakes and have no issue.

Brembo's require larger rims---19" or better if my memory serves me right.

Brembo's kit is awesome.
AND definitely mandatory with a supercharger.
The factory calipers do have alot of clamping force but they fade very quickly. They also have a huge tendency to warp with larger wheels and tires.

The Brembo kit fits under 19" or larger wheels.
It drastically improves brake torque and shortens stopping distances.
They respond faster and are more controllable.
They are virtually impossible to warp or fade.

Brembo is the only company with a brake kit that effectively stops the Hummer.
Alot of people have tried but no one has been successful.

Do you have stopping distance data and brake temp data?

I am not trying to bust your bal.s, but I have seen little data on brake upgrades. I have a number of companies whose brakes I sell, including Brembo.

Right now I am doing 60MPH-0 stopping distance testing on my H2. I also read the rotor temp after each stop.

I have also done rotor temp readings after 6 consecutive 40MPH to 20MPH slow downs.

This month, I am doing a brake upgrade (not Brembo) to see the change. I may do upgrades later with Brembo, if warranted (and if they want to pay for it).

Where did you get the data that says Bremdo is the only brake to effectively stop a Hummer????

I call BS! You are only going to stop so quickly, based on your speed, weight, and tire size. I don't care how big the brakes are, if the anti-lock is already keeping the tires from locking - Then you've done all you can do.

Now, if you put bling-bling wheels on your truck, then I can see the added leverage might be a problem.

The biggest advantage to large brakes is that they can stand repeated heavy braking. I don't know about you, but I don't see many H2s on road race courses!

I still need the data!

And....a brakes for a SC is BS! It is speed--who cares how long it takes you to get there.
