I used to have Nitto Mud Grapplers but the family couldn't deal with the "singing" tires so I got the Terra Grapplers instead.
A guy at Les Schwab is trying to convince me that the Toyo Open Country MT's are almost as quiet as the stock BFG's. Anyone out there with these Toyos that can comment?
Most likely I'm going to buy 18" wheels and like the look of the MT's but the truck belongs to my wife...

I have the Toyo tire you mentioned and love it. You look at it and it looks agressive enough that You think there is no way that tire is quite. I can honestly say that I do not really ever pay it any attention except for the first few days after getting them to notice sound and then just forgot about them.

Two of my friends have the Toyo Open Country MT on their H2s and they are extremely quiet.
I drove an H2 with the Nitto Terra Grapplers and quickly decided that these are not the tires for me, way too loud.

BFG's do come in 325-60/20's but not is 325/65-18's. I had 20's last time and am going to 18's this time around.

Alot of the choice on brand say on 325/60x20 are priced differently in different parts of the country I have noticed. Where I'm at You get a good price as they are selling so many rice rocket Toyo tires they just get a person a better price for My size due to the volume on the small car tires. That would be My guess but also I just think Toyo is the best all terrain on market and is owned by nitto. Just an opion!!

I think I narrowed it down to KAOTIC NT-2's and Toyo Open Country M/T's (325/65-18's). I hope my wife agrees with your comments about the noise. The last time I got Nitto Mud Grapplers I was forced to go back and exchange them for Terra Grapplers. Discount Tire exchanged them at no charge but what a humbling experience!
BTW - The Terra Grapplers are amazing but damn I liked the tread design on those Mud Grapplers!
