Default Is it worth it?

Ok, so I was able to pick up a set of 4 used 37" BFG M/T's for a very good price. The tread depths left are 11/32, 10/32, 14/32 and 16/32. (Brand new they're 21/32's I think). For those of you that have run the 37" M/T's, is it worth it to throw them on, with two of them at 50% tread? I currently have regular BFG A/T's with 15/32, 14/32, 14/32, and 13/32 left. (those start at 17/32 brand new). My A/t's have under 10k miles on them...

Or, I guess the other option would be to buy the new KM2's, and then sell the rest of the tires... Maybe keeping 2 M/T's for spares....

I welcome any and all opinions...

If you go off road the MT's will really help your ground clearance. On the stock rims they gave me 2" of additional ground clearance at the front skid plate.

With only 50% tread left, are they going to be any better than what I have currently, other than clearance? Just don't want to pay to get them mounted, and then find that they aren't going to do squat for me....

Really depends on what the "really good price" and your cost to mount it is Doc. In my area, cheapest mounting & balance for 37" MUD tires are about $200.

If the tires will be your daily driver, may not be worth it IMHO, since you're gonna replace them again soon. Unless of course, they're at super smokin deal (significantly less than 50% retail for 50% tread, since you can't drive them till 0%!).

On the other hand, if you're going to use it only for off-roading, might be OK, since you won't feel bad trashing the tires first trip anyways.
