New H2 owner!
New to the forum wanted to say hello and put up my first post. I recently traded in my 2008 escalade ext for a low mile, clean, one owner 05 sut in victory red. Just got magna charger from autoanything.com and getting it installed tomorrow. Looking to get it lifted next month. Torn between a 12 inch bullet proof lift on 24inch 40 tires or a 6 inch rancho kit on 22inch wheels and 38 tires. Any thoughts?

Re: New H2 owner!
although it would be sick to see a bulletproof! But either one is good. Can't wait to see this one take shape.

Re: New H2 owner!
Don't go too high if you still plan on driving it. 6" is plenty with 38's....with a 12" lift, you would be able to go bigger than 40's, but whats the point. With that lift, you couldn't take it offroad and you couldn't use it daily. So just a show car. Would be a shame not to use it as it was intented.

Re: New H2 owner!
He does have a point there..if you want to make it a show truck. Boom! Get the bulletproof, but for functionality, the six with 38s is plenty big.

Re: New H2 owner!
zdawg,
Here's a picture I took on delivery, first tank of gas. I'll post pictures of the SC next week. I'll prob throw them on instagram or fb it's easier. I have another vehicle for long commutes and the gf but pushing a 12 inch daily h2 would be something. I have a 5 mile commute to work no big deal. I like the idea of a 6 inch lift and still being able to throw it on a rock but 40s and a massive lift would kill it. Most likely will build a nasty jeep or an h3 for a crawler if I decide to go that route.

Re: New H2 owner!
Congratulations! Looks like you found a nice clean one. I'd stick with a 6" lift. 12" creates a lot more problems unless this will be exclusively a show truck.

Re: New H2 owner!
Looks real clean. As for the lift It will become difficult for clearance issues driving the 12 inch lift, BP makes a 6 inch lift that I installed which can be removed without modifications. Since your going with the SC and larger tires consider calculating your gearing so you stay in your proper rpm range for the SC. I regeared for 38X15.5. which worked out well. Let's see some pics when you get the work finished.

Re: New H2 owner!
Welcome! I think height is also dictated by where it is going to be parked. I'm in some parking garages where stock is the maximum, but I try to look on the practical side of things.
Enjoy your new ride.

Re: New H2 owner!
Welcome to the H2 community! I love my SUT and have kept it close to stock, no complaints and by far the best vehicle I have ever owned!

Re: New H2 owner!
Very nice! Congratulations! I'm on my third H2 and it's also the best SUV I've ever owned. My last H2 had the 6 inch lift and it was great at job sites and in the mud, but a pain in the *ss parking at the airport or downtown garages. I'm thinking of getting another and parking it because low mileage H2 SUTs are getting harder to find every day.

Nice, looks like you got a very clean one! Who is doing the Magna Charger work? That's a great price for it on Autoanything with the 15% new customer discount

There is still a lot of low mileage 08-09's out there, but the pricing is....
A&L Imports just sold an '09 Silver SUT with 7,221 miles for $85k, and currently has a red 09 SUT with 16k miles for $82k

I agree with some others on here...it really depends on how you're going to use your truck: daily driver, off-roader, toy-hauler, show truck, street queen...or a combination of these.
But you've got a nice clean SUT there...congrats and welcome.

Re: New H2 owner!
24" wheels is severely going to limit the available tires. I dont even think there is a decent offroad tire larger than the toyo 37" for 24s. 22s open up alot of options, at 20" there's tons of tires available.
