I have had my 03 White H2 for about a month now and love it.

One odd thing I noticed is that the steering wheel does not have a built in lock pin when you remove the key?? Every other car I've ever had had such a lock to prevent someone without a key from turning the wheel.

Do Hummers not come with this?

Also, is the H2 supposed to run rough if in 4lock or 2lock? I find when all 4 wheels are locked with the transfer case, the ride is a little rougher and turning seems hard on the steering pump especially at slow speeds and tight turns?

Lastly not that I suspect anything, but is it possible for someone to screw with the odometer readings? Is it all electronic so I am not sure if this can be f#$%ed with? Again, I do not suspect the miles on my ride are wrong, though I guess I just want to ensure this is not able to be screwed with.

Thanks

The steering wheel does indeed suppose to lock.

When you go to 4HI or 4LO lock, you can "bind" the front tires in low speed tight turns on the pavement. It will feel kind of like bucking. If you have owned a 4WD before, it's the same thing as when you would lock any other vehicle in 4WD.

The truck is full time 4WD and only need to be in 4HI or 4LO lock when you are off-road or in snowy conditions.

If you suspect your odometer to be wrong, I believe you can take it to your dealer to get the actual mileage. The mileage is "stored" in 2 different locations.
