I have a feeling I'm going to look like an idiot, but how do you remove these damn roof racks. I really need the 1.5" of clearance. I know how to loosen the rack, but how do I remove it entirely. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Loosen both knobs so the rack can slide...then at the end of the track rails at the back theres a black plastic piece with a round hole. Stick your finger in it and yank up. It will pop out and the the rack will slide off and out.

thanks. I've been trying to pull that thing up, but one end at a time rather than straight up. Hopefully, this will solve my problem... Thanks again.

It still didn't come off. Should I just pull it up as hard as I can? It feels like there is something holding it down (other than the little tab in the back which I did pull in). It is stuck towards the front.

You can try using a thin bladed screw driver to help push in the tab. You have to yank pretty hard almost to the point where you feel like its going to snap, then it pops loose. 2nd one will be easier once you know what to expect.

Dealer should help you, if you're having trouble.

Sorry, I'm keeping them for future use. I'm a bit of a pack rat when it comes to auto parts.
