Default New Wheels

Well my deal for new wheels has fallen through once again. Being over here in Germany sure make building a rig challenging.

Anyway my question is which wheel combo would be better for me. I just ordered the Cooper 37X12.5X17 from the PX. My H2 has been leveled and I have the Cognito UCA as well. I am looking at getting some wheels here are the specs.

17 X 10 with 4.5" BS and -25mm offset
or
17 X 8 with 4.5" BS and 0mm offset

I think I want the 17X10's problem is I will have to have the wheel powder coated for the look I want. As I cant stand the writing on the wheel.

The Robby Gordon's look the best but they are 17 X 8.

Default Re: New Wheels

try to find a wheel that has 4.75 at the most, but bettter with a 5" or 5.25 backspace on a 9" wide wheel.

.....Unless you want them to stick way out past the fender flares. check out Moto Metal, XD and Pro Comp Wheels. They have a little better specs than the 4.5".

with 37's a 5" bs on a 9" wide wheel works best for offroad with that leveling kit. 10" wide wheel with a 4.5" sticks out more and has rubbing about 2/3rds of the way through the flex...unless you crank teh leveling kit way out...puts the half shafts at a bad angle IMO though.

With the high gas prices in Germany, I admire that you drive an H2 I also ordered a set of 37x12.5R17 Coopers which I will hopefully be picking up tomorrow. The Discoverer STT's...I had them on my lifted Jeep (35"x15) and these where the best 4x4 tires by far. Good luck on finding the right rims! Cheers, Indy.

Look at the Moto Metal Black 951 which comes in a 17 x 9. I have these for my off road wheels but don't install the center cap that is silver plastic.
