Default Whip for the Dunes! Lets see yours.

I'm heading to Pismo in a few weeks and I need a whip. Where have you mounted yours? I was thinking about making a plate to mount to one of the rear tow hooks or possibly somewhere on the spare. Any ideas? Pics? Thanks all! Cheers!

Any H3ers want to meet up there and play 5/16 - 5/18??

I just wedged mine into the brushguard and zip-tied it. Only needed it for a day so didn't want to hassle with making a mount.

I prefer the hand held portable. Keep it in the console till I want it. Then WHIP it out!

^^Jerry's dead hippie, get a job^^ haha I got about that under my belt. It was all abut Mydland. Fortunately my friend's uncle was the tour manager so we got hooked up everytime, and we were just little kids. Good times! I still got a ton of killer SBDs. Hit me up.

Thats what I was thinking too, but on the rear. Take the bolt off and put it in between. I was also thinking about a bracket for the crossbars on the roof rack. I have to go raid home depot , maybe a chain link fence bracket or something. Cheers! (what happened to the beer chug emoticon?, WTF)

Show me some pics peeps!

i was always told to put the whip in front so when your climbing a hill people on the other side will see the flag before you!

I will look into that. I just didn't want it whipping back on the top of the car, but I guess that could happen either way. Can anybody confirm this.

So check this idea out. As far as the mounting bracket I figured that out, but I saw a good idea I thought I would share. On the mounting bracket attach a female airtool/compressor snap fitting and on the bottom of the whip attach the male side or vice versa. That way you have a removable whipsky! Let me find some pics.

That is a great idea for a quick disconnect for a whip!

I have a twist one for my cb antenna
