Difference on LUX vs Non LUX in 2008
Can anyone help me here..
I am considering an 08 SUT...
Basically, I don't want air ride, DO want nav (but can buy and install myself), don't want the drop down TV in the back, don't care about wheels and tires, and don't care about any chrome accents, because I will do that myself.
Keeping that in mind, is there ANY reason to do the LUX? It doesnt appear that there are AMP differences any longer.
I would think I would be much better off getting the base model and adding the few things I want.... ASSUMING that there are no other major differences or things I need to consider.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Geez, no air ride, no navigation, no TV's, you might as well by a jeep.

try the build a h2 on the hummer website.i was just there it looks like
heated seats, tube steps and custom floormats are the only extras.
i agree with the nav.i had a pioneer nav in my 03 and it is way better than the factory one in my 06.

I was thinkig the exact same thing (so you are not alone). Unless there is something real great besides what you mentioned I see no reason to get the LUX either....

No heated seats in front and 2nd row are standard on all H2 models.

Re: Difference on LUX vs Non LUX in 2008
Buy Adventure model and do your own upgrades from Hummer which they will be glad to do or just do it yourself as seems to be your plan. You can do better than Lux on your own. Price your upgrades You want doing it yourself before going to dealer and then ask them to bid on what you want. Make daeler compete for the private goodies that make YOUR H2 your own.
Competion the good old AMERICAN WAY.
