Got stuck, now guages are all blank

So I got stuck and had to use the winch, well the winch drained the hell out of the battery and lots of different lights started flashing.

This happened several times after driving the winch for a little while.

Then while doing it one point I got back into the truck and the guages were in off position, the odometer and drive select are still lit but the guages are not moving.

Any ideas? anything I got wet?

Fixed, disconnected-reconnected battery

There has been alot of wierd **** happening on these trucks over the last few months across the various forums. Disconnecting the battery has been the fix for most of them.

I was mudding and bottomed out real bad, I have the warn 9k winch on my front but not a electrical cord for the rear reciever.


I ended up pulling from 3 different trees before I got out, it was weird because while I was using the winch it drained the battery so bad the truck started acting funny, the abs light came on traction control came on, the locks kept clicking, the airbag problem warning light came on, the t/c light came on the battery not charging properly came on.

The truck was freaking out, when I noticed my battery down to 9-12 volts I put the load off and tried to let it charge, but it didn't want anything to do with it, after a long battle I finally got unstuck



Not going to be one upped by that hole the next water hole I came to i went as far around as I could, yet slid into that hole, got stuck again right after all that mess, not even 5 yards down the path

prob has something to do with the bfg A/T being at like 40% tread

WTF? When did that happen? What did it say?

I don't really know when... I saw the passenger side when I was at the gas station, it was good, got home took a nap, then I went to subway and I noticed it there, which it was right in eyesight the entire time, got home and my dad said something about where he had noticed it before I left for subway.

Sooo possibly in my neighborhood, which is wierd because I live in a very conservative neighborhood.

Is there anyway to fill in scratches, without painting?

if its only in the clear, a good auto detailer should be able to buff them out.

i use to have a 12k warn winch on my old jeep. the winch was way overkill so my battery would always give out before the winch. if i really pulled on it id watch the battery gauge drop like a rock and it would throw up a bunch of codes untill the battery got some juice back.
