Default No factory roof lights on the 2008's

Bought my 08 last Oct and part of the deal was the low profile roof light bar. Well, they never could get me one because of the a pillar airbag and can't run the wires. We deceided to put a 07 on and the dealer would not do or if I did would not warranty the airbag if anything happened. So they said they would send me a refund in a couple weeks. What a bummer.

I went to buy a low profile for my 2008 but after reading all the stuff on here I decided to wait for a delta 10x but the local parts guy said they have put many lights on the 2008's but they had to extend the wires because the connector for 2008 was on the wrong side. apparently the 2007 down lights will work with some modifications. As of last month there were no 2008 light bar listed. actually should consider yourself lucky now you can buy real lights instead!

Low profile light bar does NOT work. Your lights are too low on it, and the middle 2 shine onto the sunroof wind deflector, which then deflects the light into the cabin.

Unless you do not have a sunroof, in which case all is fine. Either way, the 4 do not throw as much light as 2 headlights, so they are only cosmetic. Look really nice.

I just found this out yesterday, when I picked up my 07 SE with the lightbar. Also, the stock lightbar lights stay on even with the iginition off and vehicle locked. This is stupid, as it can quickly kill your battery.

SOunds like someone is feeding you a BS Sandwich.

I have installed lights on the 08's without issue. ...and that was for a dealer.

You can run your light wires down the outside of the A pillar and sneak the switch wires around the DRSD door boot OR through the firewall boot(s). There is no reason you have to run through the inside of the A pillar to get the wires run.

Sounds like your dealer hasn;t done any research other than "OH, there's an Airbag there now, and we're too lazy to figure it out."
