As I sit here, reading the posts and munching on some Doritos, I wonder....what is it about the H3 that has secured your interest/desire? I mean, what is it about the H3 that would possess "killian" to fly to Dallas to buy one....or, in my case, be willing to travel to St. Louis or Loo'ziana from West Virginia to buy one.
Personally, I like its styling, equipment, capabilities, and the affordability. AND....I like the fact it's a HUMMER. Some sort of status or prestige = turning heads & attention. Let's face it, most everyone likes positive attention...right?
Now, before the fire starts and the bashing begins.......the responses to this post are INDIVIDUAL OPINIONS, and everyone is entitled to theirs.
Inquiring minds want to know.............

My interest lies in the chickenheads flocking once they see me on Scottie Pippens. (That's 33's for those who don't know) I will officially be upgraded to frequent baller status...now I just have to figure out how to get into VIP at the club. Holla!

Personaly i wanted an Audi tt coupe, but for now it is not pratical > I need and SUV >so i shoped wasnt realy happy with anything out their for what I wanted to spend, so after realizing that this is were my vehicle destiny layed > an suv I was settling for the new Jeep cheroke, then i saw the H3 at the car show and said that is what i need > its different I can wheel with it in stock trim, and it looks like a cool truck not some watered down suv, to many moms have all the others, and my first choice the touregg, was overpriced for what I wanted to spend, and the H3 seems to be the coolest thing out, and you do get a little status with the hummer badge, it appeals to my lets reward ourself with a toy side at the same time, and I get all the other stuff, cool, strong, cargo room wich is why I am buying an suv, status, I need to use it for my business to move some stuff around, so thats it, it just seems to be the right thing at the right time. Loaded up for under 40gs the cheroke I priced out with the Hemi v8 was 43gs > with dealer back money 40 > I will be in the H3 ony missing the nav syst, becuase I can not wait that long, for about 37gs and it will tread all over the jeep just not as fast, and it has more prestidge or status what ever.

I've wanted a HUMMER since I can remember, I'm only 23 and this is the first NEW car that I'm going to buy (I've been driving since I was like 14 but I could only afford used cars before).. I had a budget of 40k to buy a new car (after saving for like two years!!) and I was ready to get an H2, but with the GAS prices as high as they are now I think that the H3 is just the right Hummer for me right now, I will get the H1 alpha one day, but for now I will be more than happy driving my brand new H3 and I'm sure I will be the only one among my friends getting one of those
Plus, I've only heard good things about this truck, a hummer sales rep. told me that he wasn't that excited about the new H3, then we went to what they call "Hummer School" and he was CRAZY about it's performance in the off-road track, he mentioned that they had a Pathfinder a Jeep Cherokee and a 4 Runner in that track and the H3 was the only truck that made it to the end (plus other H2s and H1s off course), I believe him...

What possessed me to fly to Dallas? Well, I knew that I was buying ah H3 and unlike some people who are made of money I work hard for my cash, so I’ll be damned if I’m going to cough up 2,200 of my hard earned dollars to some crooked dealership who wants to charge me a “new car premium”. I’d rather spend the money on upgrades to my vehicle or, heck, for that price, a trip to Europe.
Was flying to Dallas a smart move or fleeting and irrational? Either way I don’t care, It was fun and I got to spend some quality time with my dad. So now I have an H3 and an adventure story to go with it.
Why the H3: I dunno, I just like it. It catches my eye and it makes me happy on many levels, off road performance and the fact that it is 100% a Hummer helps. I’m not an attention whore but it IS fun to watch people trip over themselves to get a look. I’ve had people pull up next to me in traffic and use a camera phone to take a picture while I’m driving.
Tonight I took my wife to dinner in Scottsdale and we drew crowds. My wife loved the attention and I benefit from that as well.
In other news, I had three people tell me how much they like my new H2 I had to point out that it was in fact an H3. I even had someone hawk up a big loogie on the side of my truck, They must have been a subscriber to http://www.FUH2.com
What morons.
Pass the Doritos, please...

RTO870, why so far south? Is there something special that can't be had here on the east coast?

It's not a preference, really......it's the fact that those dealers have already got some on the ground.
I have thoroughly checked all the dealers in PA, MD, VA, OH, KY, NY, etc., and noone seems to have anything in stock yet.

Hey RT! The only advice I can give you if you decide to shop in PA is to stay faaaaaar away from Wright Hummer, they bring new meaning to the word crook. Last time I was there I almost threw the fat ass sales manager and his retarded salesman through the dealership window.

We have/had some here? Local dealer is already running commercials showing them in stock but I think all of the first ones were pre-sold and it will be a week or two before some not sold comes in. Of course, we are about 3.5 hours from the plant.

Hey Firm, don't forget to turn your baseball cap to the side just a little bit and lay the seat all the way back
You are planning on getting the lowest profile tire you can get aren't you?

Low profile? How about no profile! I'm riding on rims. I saw an F150 with a 6'' lift, and big mud tired with spinners the other day.
The coolest thing I've ever seen...
