Sadly, they haven?t and its been overrun by Mexicans and welfare degenerates that life a lifestyle of hoodlumism and its hurt the city badly. Crime is terrible there; as you may recall a large segment of the "Cops" TV show series was devoted to Ft Worth.
I just wanted to defend the rest of DFW as there are many VERY impressive places to live that are still quite affordable and safe which attract many people that are coming from FL, NY and CA due to the real-estate corrections.
If you get the time, please visit Frisco and Plano. Plano was voted the nicest city in the USA like 5 years in a row to live back in the early 2000s. And Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation right now.
In any case, GL with where ever you end up but things arent so bad if you will have a look in a few other areas.
I know. My Heading was out of frustration. I love what it has to offer. I frequent some friends in Prosper, and Argyle. They are awesome. I just wrooy what they will look like in 10 years. It is like the good people move out of the area to get away from the elements and the elements that turn good do the same but they drag their element family and friends with them and before you know it the good people move even farther out. Just a cycle I want to get out of. You are correct. Most of the D/FW area is awesome. My area which was awesome 3 years ago is now getting that element. So I want to plant permanent roots. Thanks for your words. I Love Texas, The Horns, The Boys, The Stars. I just hate the criminals that seem to be moving in more and more every day.
Not to mention the tollway now dead ends right at the feet Prosper thus you could accomplish the small town lifestyle, safe schools and env and still remain in DFW AND watch your real-estate appreciate a a greater pace as you would be in the direction of positve growth rather than in a declining or stagnant area.
I myself find it would be very hard to leave TX and there are few places I would go if I did. Montana would be one of them or any of the "Rockies" states along with any along the "Appliations" as well (including VA)
Dont make a knee jerk descision, think about your family and consider your options. There are a lot of great choices locally but eveyone wants to feel peace of mind and you cant even begin to put a value on that.
