Front torsion bar adjustment
Saw this in a review- "If you decide to buy one, heed this warning. Have the DEALER do this step before you take delivery of an H3!!! Have them adjust the front torsion bars 2.5 turns, then do an alignment (which is generally done as part of the pre-delivery staging anyways). This modification will give you the benefits of a level looking truck, a small modest increase in ground clearance (to about 10 inches from 9.1), and a slightly firmer ride and steering feel. The best thing - it's a mod that's covered under warranty, since the dealer performed the modification."
Does this guy know what he's talking about? Would you reccomend this?

Re: Front torsion bar adjustment
If you do a search you will find plenty of discussions about this. Many here, including myself, have do this and it is not something that has caused any warranty issues. As your dealer to do it for you but if they don't, do it yourself, very simple.

Re: Front torsion bar adjustment
I agree, it is very simple as long as you lift the front end of the ground.

I just spent the last 10 minutes looking for the front end of the ground and couldn't find it. Is there some special place to look (maybe west?) - do you need a prybar? What about a jackhammer - can I just dig a hole and use that as the front end of the ground?

Hey, it's Friday, end of a long week at work, I can't take it out on my staff, so I'll crack a joke on the forums. At least I'm not drunk (yet)...
