Default remote clearing help!!

I have a #1 remote that I guess has some programming from the previous owner. I do not have a 2nd remote nor do I have an owners manual. How do I clear the settings? I actually just installed an alarm w remote start so I won't be using the factory remote. Just trying to clear the settings. My seat heater is on plus the seat moves way back. Thanks!!!!

You can probably clear the previous owners settings from the DIC. The seat heater is another issue. I had a suburban that the seat heater had a mind of it's own and I chalked it up to faulty wiring. It was my wife's so she just lived with it till we traded it in. Hope it works out for you.

Can it be as simple as setting a new memory to the #1 button on the door?

In other words once you get the seat in the right position, make sure the heater is off, then set the memory for #1?

I can't seem to get the seat to even take a new setting. It has 2 crazy settings already that puts me almost on the floor. Lol..

On your DIC there is an option to move the seat back when you turn off the ignition, or open the door after stopping the car. Yours is set to on.

Never heard of a setting to auto turn the seat heater on. However mine has been just turning on randomly lately.

I too have an aftermarket alarm and we didn't do anything to the OEM remote after installation. Pretty sure there aren't any program options on the OEM key fob.

O.k. so I turned the auto exit seat off. Didn't see any other options to erase driver 1. I use an aftermarket remote now. I guess the seat heater is just nuts and I'll have to keep shutting it off. As far as the memory seats, I put it in my desired position and then????

Once in the position you want, press and hold the number 1 until it beeps twice.
