I have been interested myself. Have a 2006 H3 since July 05, and now wanting to purchase a new Black 2007 H3 with factory Nav. ALso want to hook up a rear camera to it like the Tahoe has from the factory.

I do not know if it is the same thing, but I have heard of a company called Lockpick that makes a device that you connect to your factory headunit to allow you to use navigation and DVD functions while moving.* It might be similar, and might be worth checking out if a VSS bypass doesn't work on the newer headunits.

Re: OEM Navi Bypass
Well, here is what I came up with:
http://www.coastaletech.com/GMLOCKPICK.htm
It looks like it might work although they do not specifically mention that it will work on a 2006 H3 OEM NAVI.....I e-mailed them to find out. As soon as I get an answer back from them, I will report back to you guys.
Regards

Re: OEM Navi Bypass
That interface, as designed will not work on the Hummer H3; reason, the connector they show, is not used on the H3. In addition, they are turning the system on/off via the steering wheel switches which signal the BCM via the low-speed LAN circuit.
However, they might be able to make one for the H3. It is evident, by the connector they are using, they are somehow messing with the BCM signal via the low-speed LAN signal from the BCM to the NAV unit. So, since it appears the BCM is the controller of the functions, all they would have to do is figure out how to control the BCM signals to the H3 head unit.

That one will not work, but as previously mentioned, the company that makes the Lockpick does have one in the works.* See what sort of response they give you.
