Love quoting ya.
Don't worry, I am a little bit smarter than that and am not baited very easily. Besides, these are very weak attempts at personal attacks.

If you were browsing the forum with your god daughter and pulled that up, then yes, that would be a bad pic.
And then she goes home and tells mommy and daddy that you showed her pictures of britney spears boobies and you get to explain why you were looking at nude pics with your god daughter. But hey...maybe your family is cool with that, a lot aren't though. Which was the main point, which seems to have been missed. Remember the guy and his god daughter?

No, your advocate is the one that has forgotten the "premise" here. It is his fault and irresponsiblity to be browsing this site in the presense of his god daughter if that is what offends. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>x2
This is NOT a forum for 14 year olds. Girl or boy. In fact, I recall a time when a young person registered and asked questions, and just about everyone here chased the kid away.
Nothing wrong with flaming butt or covered boobies avatar (though not my personal preference) for an ADULT forum.

For once, I agree with you.
I have enjoyed learning Hummer info and joking with people on this board. However, the filth that permeates this board is not compatible with the morals I aspire to; although, I often fall short.
I refuse to condone, by silence or otherwise, adults who believe it is OK to show porn to

Then, I must say, walc, you're a bona-fide IDIOT.
Inadvertantly showing this forum to kids is hardly equal to "show porn to children".
It's not your morals that's a problem. It's your intellect.

Walcy walcy walcy... You disappoint me my friend. You know you have no right to say the things you have about Paragon. He is more than able to fend for himself however so I will leave it at that.
Personally this whole damn country is a bit too uptight anymore, let alone this one forum. The net is not always a place for children as I'm sure 99% of people with half a brain should know. As far as avatars are concerned I've seen more graphic pictures on TLC at 5pm on a Tuesday.
Forcing a child to look at nudity is wrong, no doubt. There was no nudity and the child was not forced to view it.
If you really think about it a mother or father could be watching tv with a child and flick through channels at almost any given time and come upon graphic material just the same as can happen online anywhere at any given time. In that respect just change the channel or close the web page. **** happens.

The bottom line is...this isn't a family friendly website (and there is no reason for it to be) and one person realized that and mentioned it after noticing "questionable" content in the presence of his god daughter.
Forcing is definately wrong, exposing is also wrong IMO. Again, especially if it's not your child. I don't find it to be my right to deceide wether certain "questionable" content is appropriate for my nephews.
While I have absolutely no problems with this forum, because I apparently am not in the same situation as the original poster (on this particular part of the thread), I do understand where he is coming from. And would not consider this a site for browsing with the nephew. But luckily for me my nephews are only interested in nickjr.com, so I have it easy. :P

To show to a child?
It is illegal, in the USA, for an adult to do so. It is child sex abuse. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>If the child walks in and just happens to see that picture on your computer screen, you are not "showing" it too them. There is a difference here.
What about the parents having sex and the child walks in on them? That's got to be really bad stuff.

It had some interesting demographics, based upon Hummer's marketing research. Compared to H1 and H2 buyers, H3 buyers were forecast to be:
1. Better educated; at least 33% college graduates vs. 15% college graduate H1 and H2 buyers.
2. More self-assured, as opposed to caring what others think and status conscious.
3. Comfortable, yet lower income than H1/H2 buyers.
4. Younger and many more females.
5. More concerned with value for the dollar.
I had just traded my H3, for an H2 SUT, when I saw the DVD. Needless to say, I wasn't happy that research revealed that I'm most likely a poorly educated, older male, with low self-esteem, and more money than sense.
As I said, these are Hummer marketing conclusions, not mine; so don't flame me.

As far as I am concerned the "incident" was my fault. I was not thinking with the kid in the room because I was too busy with my own agenda; new wheels and an outrageously over priced ITC light bar. That little episode was a reality check to re-evaluate my priorities. Sure, I hope she did not notice the avitars. I am not worried though. I know kids these days are not totally naive to such things, and she remains a loving child. We had a little tickle fight before she left.
Now I know of many other sites containing other subjects that are full of people enjoying their stuff, whether it be laptops, cameras or motorcycles without the exotic avitars. So making a claim that such a website without such avitars if as "boring as a manual" to me seems more than a little far fetched.
So what was I really trying to say here? Is it okay to willingly show such avitars to kids? I think not, but rather, what sort of self image do I want to portray to others? Should I care if an adult or child misinterprets my character? Call me up tight if you want; call my friends up tight, as was already done; but I suggest that it's only the way you look at things from your perspective; I happen to be looking with a different perspective; what is uptight to you is a good thing to me and others like me. My perspective in a nutshell is this; I happen to care if what I do involves and affects those that matter to me as well as their opinion of me. If caring in such a way is a crime then I am guilty. If my friends and I seem to live in a strange way to you it's Ok. What is more important is that I am happy with our "uptight" way of life. My opinion is if the world were just a little more "uptight" it would be a better place... but that's only my uptight perspective.
