Default Passenger side dashboard removal

Hi guys

Im currently upgrading the look of the interior of my 2004 H2.
Just got the center console and the mid console (dont know what its called, the one that covers the stereo and ac) in leather, looks awesome in my eyes.

Now i need to get the other parts done in the front, left side vent (gray plastic now) and the right side vent and the other one on the right side where the airbag switch is.

Problem is, how do I safely remove these parts without screwing up the airbag and anything else. I removed the bolts (4 in total) but its still stuck.

Any tips ?

The driver side vent has the 2 bolts then it just pops off. It can be pretty difficult to remove but it will come free.

The passenger side, you need to remove the handle. Remove the small trim piece on the side of the dash where the door closes then you need to use a long screwdriver to push the small buttons under the dash to unlock the handle. You have to keep the damn buttons pressed while wiggling the handle out. I've had mine off a number of times and every time it is a royal PITA!

Good luck!

Thx, I took it to a local company here in Drobak, Norway. He makes custom interior for cars and boats. Was a lot of work, and did cost a bit more than anticipated but worth it in my opinion. The gray plastic always bothered me and now its gone whohoo

I agree, that was why I changed all mine for the carbon CF look GM interior set. I have always wanted to argentanium (sp) dash set but they are rare and far too expensive when they do come up for sale. I still have my stock set, might be something to look into for my extra set.
