Looks like the dash cover is pretty well made custom fit for Hummer dash, $35-$40 sounds reasonable for that much work. Let us know how it works out, if you get it.

Dear Ohyousucks, If you have ever seen a cracked dash or if you live in an area with extra hot weather or if one parks outside extensively.... the dash cover could be quite useful if not required. The look of a carpeted dash may be debatable, nevertheless this cover looks quite well made custom fit, the dark grey color matches with Hummer dash and the whole thing looks rather low key and professional. Carpeted dash can be extra nice in a cold night at the lovers' lane. You can run your toes on this dash cover, which certainly is not as nice on a bare dash board.

By the way, I meant joke. I'll take a cracked dashboard over putting carpet on my dash. If it cracks...I'll just get it replaced. If it happens to anyone it will happen to me being from South Texas.

I save photos of interesting Hummer stuffs in my PC for record. My wife thinks the carpet cover looks South-of-the-Boarder, I am a little itchy about trying to find something for my Hummer, but maybe not the dash cover.

Some fuzzy dice perhaps to go with the carpet dash? All kidding aside, do the conditioners work to keep the dash from cracking? I've heard from various people not to use armorall, but there are other types of conditioners that claim to prevent cracking. Comments? Advice?

I have not seen any cracked dash for 15 years, I don't think you have to worry about it nowadays. By the time I finished washing the Hummer, I am so tired I don't want to put anything extra on the dash, just wipe it clean.
I just noticed that I have not the need to clean the inside of windshield for 11 weeks of ownership. Is it because it is nearly vertical, so the dirty film does not build up as much as in conventional vehicles?

I'm sure if you go to your local crafts/fabric store you can pick up some nice colored fur to lay up there. And they probably have those strips of pom-pom dingle balls to hang along the top of the windows.

Dan, please post a picture of your new dash for us to see. Don't forget to add a hola girl to the dash. I am quite an expert on fuzzy dice, I have seen 3 kinds, large medium and small, reall fuzzy type or short hair model, hard or sodt, with or without light. It all depends on your personal taste.

RasterMaster - let us know your thoughts about the dash cover when you get it. I couldn't tell from the pictures - does it cover the dash completely to the windshield.
Cracked dashes were primarily an occurrence with the older vinyl versions, however color fading is still a problem. At least at elevations significantly above sea level, 5000 ft.

Dash Cover arrived today and is a perfect fit. It looks "fuzzy" like a shag carpet in the photos, although it is not at all shaggy and alot nicer than I expected as it doesn't make your dash look like it should have the fuzzy dice hanging over it. Not a "pimp-mobile" cover....worth the 40 bucks for a great custom. She will even send you samples if you need them.

She is very friendly and likes to go on about her H2 (which gave me a bit of brag time), but easy to work with. Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed!
