Default 06 SUT Tire Carrier Removal

im thinking of removing the spare tire carrier..not really liking the look of it. Anyone have any pics of an SUT with it taken off? Also it appears the D rings and the carrier are all one piece so im guessing i will need to get new D rings as well as relocate the tag. What would be the cleanest way to do this?

I have an 06 and did what you are wanting to do... I purchased a kit from Real Wheels that has tow hooks and a new place to mount the license plate... Not a huge fan of the item... doesn't look as good as I was hoping.. but I haven't seen any other options... I will try to get a pic up for you tonight

I wanted to clean up the back also, so I removed the rear tire carrier. I actually made a new liscense plate holder with the stock tail light from my RC51 streetbike I had laying around. I still need to order new hooks.

Where in Atlanta are you from? I live in Brookhaven. Do you go offroading or are you a BLINGER?

thanks for the responses. i live in canton. i have a little bling but im by no means afraid to off road. i just traded in a black 03 H2 SUV with 80K miles that looked like ya went down the side of it with a dirt rake! I have a new pewter 06 SUT that im not looking to destroy, but i am more than willing to hit some trails. I just picked her up a few weeks ago, had my rims and nitto mud grapplers put on at the dealership and have yet to break her in!We need to get together! PM me and lets trade numbers ASAP.
