Default Help, found something

Hey folks. I really need your help here. I found this on the ground under our truck this morning.

What is it, and is it important? Do I need it to drive? There's something on the other end that looks the same with some rusty rod in the middle. It's too big for me to get a pic of the whole thing.

Thanks for your help. I"m afraid to drive it.

I'm pretty sure it's a pestle and mortar. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

Ken, does your wife know you're posting pics of her 'toys' on a public forum?

No, it was in spilled coffee, though.
