Default Trouble with HUMMERHUB

Has anyone else had problems with these guys at HummerHub.com

So far I have ordered one thing from them, a keychain (only because i couldnt find another one like it any where else) and it has been 9 days from the date of the order. The Shipping cost me almost as much as the keychain (15 dollars for the keychain 11 dollars for the shipping). I know I even said to myself it was a joke. I couldnt believe it, but hey they had what I wanted. Given it would have cost them a whopping 2 bucks for a padded envelope and 2 stamps but still.

So i have written them twice asking where is my order and asking if there was an issue because at one point it looked like I they placed the order twice. Well it has been 9 days and not one email back.

I am just wondering if this place is a scam and i should report this to my credit card company

He is trying to find it! These guys don't have any inventory except a few used parts. There isn't even a "Contact" section on their website so they are really just a cyber space company. When you place the order they go out to a legitimate after market seller. Wouldn't spend a dime with these guys!

Well, the latest is after I sent 4 emails (to which not one has been answered) I called the 1-800 number on their website, and ..... well lets say that aint their number. It ends up being a land maintaince service.

Then I do some digging on the web.
This company has been on the web for a few years, and the earliest post I have seen about them is 2006. And wouldnt you know every single post is about the same types of issues I have been having with them.
So of course now I am feeling very uneasy about my order.
I start tracking down some sort of contact number for them, and find one in Cali but it is disconnected.
So I look at my bank statement and it has a contact number on there. I call it and it comes up to be the company that Hummerhub uses to charge credit cards. I speak with them and they tell me they only have contact with Hummerhub through email (since the only other way was the number they had on the website.... which of course is only good if you want your lawn cut). So I filed a complaint and hopefully if I dont see the order arrive by friday, it will make for a easy refund.

The sad thing is none of the stories on the web involving this company has provided an official ending to the mess. They just leave it as "I havent received it in 2 weeks" or whatever, so you never know if they did or didnt get the item, or if they easily did or didnt get a refund

Hi if it doesn't show up by fri. just you put a claim in with your credit card company. It may take a while but its better than getting screwed for any $ amount. Good luck!!!

Ok, so here is the update on this fiasco.

Remember:
02 Feb - I place the order and I am immediately charged $16 dollars for the keychain and a ridiculous $10.71 for something that could have been put in an envelope and mailed for a dollar (but I couldnt find any place else to buy that exact key chain, so.....)

04 Feb - I get an automated email stating that the order is completed

06 Feb - I write them via the HummerHub website, since it seem there was a double order and wanted to make sure it was clear I only wanted one.

09 Feb - I write them again from their website, since I hadnt gotten an answer from my first email and I wanted to know shipping information too.

11 Feb - I write yet another email, since still none of my previous emails were responded to.

13 Feb - Now completely irate, I write another email and call the listed 1-800 number. As I stated before, I get a lawn maintenance company. I was able to track down the billing company, and stated I will be reversing charges if i do not get the order in the next two days. 2Checkout.com was great about this and very friendly. Immediately I get an email with all the info they had on HummerHub, and a forward of the email they send HummerHub stating my intent to cancel the order. Within minutes of that email, I get one from HummerHub!!! There was no apologies for anything, just the basically the tracking number. It was shipped on 09 Feb. WTF?? A whole week to ship a keychain, and with shipping coming in at a whopping 11 bucks for this. I write them back expressing how dissatisfied I was with EVERYTHING (price of shipping, customer service, delay in shipping, lack of contact and communication). They respond expressing that they didnt get any of my emails, and that it must be a glitch in the website. That might have been ok, if the very next email I received was a response to my 4th email over their website. In the email, it actually had the email I sent attached to it, so it is proof they are getting them and are full of it.

Today (15 Feb), I finally got the keychain today, 6 days after it was shipped and almost 2 weeks after it was ordered.

I could have put up with the 2 weeks it took to get here if they didnt charge out the wazoo for shipping. I could have put up with the delays, if there wa more communication. I could have put up with alot, but the way this was handled was so poor. Then they try to explain that they are a new company, and they just purchased it from someone. That would be kind of understandable, until you research HummerHub on the net and find out that since 2006 there have been many of complaints and issues involving this company.

Personally I would not recommend them to anyone and I will never buy from them again.

Sorry for my soap box
