Default Getting ready to buy - want to trade Chrome package for black

First post. Glad I found this site. I'm close to purchasing a brand new 08 H3. I don't want the chrome package, but the three I'm considering unfortunately all have it.

I'd be willing to trade out the chrome stuff (mirror caps, door handle pulls) for black. In searching the forums, I've seen a few requests as such.

My question is, would anyone want to trade out their like new black for chrome? In case that doesn't happen, does anyone recommend any reliable sources for purchasing black mirror caps/door handle pulls?

Thanks in advance!

I did the same swap about a year ago. Found a guy who wanted chrome and traded. Doing the swap on the truck is very easy. They have a tutorial with photos on another forum.

If you are buying brand new why not just twist the dealers arm to do it? Hummer dealers are in no position to play hard ball. They dropped the price on the trucks like 10k since last year. If you say "well, forget it" and start walking out, they will change thier tune fast. Anyway, they will try to say that it is like a $1000.00 job. That is the price a dealer quoted me. I am not a mechanic and I did it myself in 30 minutes and it cost $30.00 in shipping charges.
