Default Horsepower was increased from 316 to 325 in 2005, how did they do it?

Did they route the exhaust or air intake differently?

Were there different parts installed?, or was it a software thing.

Thanks

Finbox

Ball and roller bearings dont provide enough resistance to the flow of oil to keep the pressure up. Besides, that would only reduce friction, not increase power.

HP in PCM was turned up just like handhelds do. They could turn it up to about 425HP easily give or take some depending on if they helped with exhaust adjustments from factory. They have warranty to think about as things would most likely break more off road. That is why I do not recommend superchargers for off road. Over powering in certain conditions breaks things allot more easily.

You can get laptop tuning software and make it do even more than a handheld can do. If You setup a wideband sensor You get real time reading while tuning. You can buy the basic tune and see all kind of stuff in real time if Your into that. It takes some learning but plugs into OBD2 port and Your set. There are many things You can adjust that has nothing to do with tuning or engine.

I thought about that after I posted and saw that he quoted someone, and that quote wasn't from this thread. I'm sure he is thick enough skinned not to take offense.

I knew there'd be someone that got the quote. There's some of the greatest lines in that movie.

Reducing friction will also increase power...less power to turn the rotating assembly means more makes it to the crank.
