radiator popped
So like many other H3's Alphas out there, my OEM radiator cracked where the aluminum meets the plastic top. I replaced it with a solid aluminum from ebay and Gates hoses. Although many sites say that you have to pull out the 1 piece shroud and remove the fan to replace the radiator, you do not. I removed the lower shroud insert and simply pushed the one piece shroud back, and had plenty of room. The one thing I had to mod was cutting a bushing out of the old radiator hose as the aluminum post is thinner and the stock center brace isn't quite tight enough.
Here's the question. I own a construction trailer, and it tends to get warm while towing at highway speeds. The aluminum keeps it cooler than stock, but still not at dead middle of the temp gauge at 70 mph. Anyone have any ideas to cool more efficiently like a after market tranny cooler or any other mod you've done?
