Bad design on H2 Emergency Brake Cabling
I have been wondering over the last couple of months why my brake pedal keeps getting closer to the floor so fast on my H2. Also, simutaneuosly the dealership keeps chasing a squeaking sound on the front right suspension, when going over bumps, but never able to find out what's causing it.
Hmmm, I also noticed back when I changed out my Trailing Arms that the Emergency Brake Cable was getting cut as it's tight across the top of my left trailing arm.
The squaeking noise I mentioned above is worse on cold or rainy days every time I go over bumps. I notice that each time I apply the emergency brake I get the same squeak/creaking sound and it gets worse on those same cold/rainy days!
Seems to me that every time we go over bumps large enough to make the rear suspension go up, that we may be also applying the emergency brake unknowingly.
Anyone else notice that their cable is so tight over the left trailing arm that it's cuting into the plastic coating? Has your Emergency Brake getting worn out faster than it should?
