Bent under carriage protection
My stock ucp is pushed up into the exhaust cross over pipe. Looks it is bent in other places but not against anything.
Has any one pulled it down with a floor jack, chains and blocks against the frame?
I certainly can not be the first owner to have this pushed up.
Any suggestions from someone who has fixed it would certainly help,
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Bent under carriage protection
I have failed to reason why I needed to make any adjustments to mine. It seems to be bent up in their just fine and all I'll do is get agitated if I try to straighten it out adn get the bolt holes to align again.
Besides it finally doesn't rattle or anything.

Re: Bent under carriage protection
Just get longer bolts and a $h1t load of washers.

No sense in trying to straighten it now you are only going to beat it back up next week in the Black Hills.

Re: Bent under carriage protection
That standard trick to fix it from rattling is to put a stack of washers on each of the three bolts in the rear.
However, that stock protection is worthless.
Call H20guy at get this. Impossible to bend.

Re: Bent under carriage protection
That really is a nice UCP. Too bad you lose that inch of clearance... but that's a good reason to get 37's.
