Air Suspension - Variable?

When I first upgraded my tires to 37s, the H2 fit fine in the garage with 40psi in the rear. After I went wheeling last Saturday, I drove into the garage and cleared the front (which clears the highest part of my Gobi rack). But the rear and of the garage hit the trim as rolled through. When I shut it off, I could hear the rear release a ton of air. I backed out the next day, no problem. Then after a short pavement based drive the next day - it hit going in. The next morning, it hit going out. When I pulled it in last night - it went in just fine.

I just don't get it. Why is the rear height variable?

All the times going in and out of the garage I had the same weight inside the truck yet the rear height varies by about 1.5 inches. Isn't there a sensor that is supposed to put in a predeterined height?

Time to take the trim off the top of the garage door.

The rear of te GOBI rack is the highest point... when mounted on the truck. I had that happen on the last truck too. Just make sure you don't hit that air susp. button before you back out of the garage or you'll be .

you could have a rideheight sensor goign bad or soemthing stuck in there. Check your arms to make sure there is nothing around the arm. Also check for play.

Yeah, I always assumed that the front of the Gobi was highest point on the vehicle. But you are right. I think the suspension must normalize itself with a tolerance of +/- and inch or two. I was very close the first time I drove in. Add an inch and I'm busting the trim. Shouldn't be a huge problem because I'll just remove the trim. The door will look fine and I'll add back the rubber strip.

I've noticed that if you let the vehicle warm up for a few minutes before moving it cycles several times before finding a comfy spot to sit. And when I unhook the trailer or stop after driving down the road it will cycle a couple of times. After a long trip it looks like the back is riding higher than the front and when I restart the car it settles it down. It's weird. Time to remodel the garage
