Default Stock to 20's, what can I expect?

About to pull the trigger on a set of MotoMetal 20x10's with Nitto terra-grappler 35's. I have stock wheels now with nearly new Goodyear 315/70x17. What can I expect to change in the ride, handling, braking, and mileage areas??

Thanks,
D

You can expect your truck to look much nicer and not much of anything else. Ride should be nice smooth and comfy. If i was you i would run a more aggressive tire as it looks better but thats up to you. By more aggressive it doesnt mean super swampers but maybe something like the Procomp Extreme a/t that will not sacrifice comfort and be noisey.

Thanks!! I had a set of terra's on my duramax and was pleased with them. I do like the look of a more aggresive tire, but most of my driving is on-road and not too much mud at all when I do go off-road.

I agree with Boss Hoss that you should not loose any ride and there nothing wrong with changing the look either.
Ours gets compliments all the time on it's looks and how well it rides.

Rico001, I noticed you have a 2" lift. Was it needed for the 20x10's ?

Thanks,
D

A slightly more aggresive tire than the terras(this is not say much) doesnt mean you have to sacrifice comfort-you have many selections these days that are "more aggressive" but do great on pavement. A lift is not needed for a 20x10 rim.

I do not think it is needed, it was there when we bought "pre-owned".
It does give it an aggresive look over stock but is not garage friendly.

X2 on the procomp extreme AT's. THat tire is excellent on road and looks more aggresive than the BFG AT/ not a bad tire either.

Off road the Procomp is a little better IMO as well.

I've got moto metal 20s right now -- and there was a little difference on small bumps as far as feeling goes...but not a big enough con to outweigh the pros of how it looks, IMHO.

Plus on the H2 - you've got more air/tire - so you should be just fine.
