Default Tommorrow is the big day!

We either are going to all have collectors items or foreign owned cars as of tommorrow. Too bad mine is at the dealer today with the engine light on. At least the dealer who no longer sells new hummers is still servicing them or I would have to drive 60 miles to another dealer.

Default Re: Tommorrow is the big day!

People have a short memory, and when the economy gets back on track there will always be a demand for large SUVs in the US, and I think the US makes some of the best priced large SUVs in the world. Whether the need is filled by the Escalade, the Navigator, the Tahoe, the Expedition or even the Durango - the need is still out there!
Hummer is unique in design and abilities and one of the most recognized brand names in the world, and that alone should help its sale.
It'll be a long time if the brand is sold before we see the 71,000 sales Hummer racked up in 2006. Obviously, some of this sale is political since one equity analyst said that Hummer alone was only responsible for about $230 million in losses for GM last year - a drop in the bucket! My money is on the Chinese where mpgs are less important than rugged terain ability. About 50% of all Chinese roads are unpaved, that alone should up the demand in China!
