Default Another lift question....

hey folks,
i have an 08 h2 adventure and im looking for abt 3" of lift and still be able to use my stock tires.
i havent found any suspension lifts less than 6" and then u take the financial hit of having to buy 4-5 more wheels....cha ching.
ive done the lifted h3, ive done the lifted h1....i dont want anything too radical, a few inches suspension lift maybe and 37' tires....
any thoughts?

also, i know some folks put 37' tires on the h2 otherwise stock....hows that working out? how much ground clearance does that gain?
can anyone share some pics of stock h2 on 37's?

thanks

If your just looking for a little lift I would get the torsion keys w/ shock extenders like these http://www.readylift.com/products/sfID1/11

2 1/2 inches it claims. I ran 38x15.50x20 Mud grapplers on my stock 2008 and actually had minimal rubbing on plastic inner fender. I will see if I can find those photos. I did crank the stock torsion bar a little.

I found them 38x15.50x20 - stock truck - a little tweaking to the T-bar.
You can see a little rubbing on the sway bar and the plastic inner fender. That was with the wheel at full lock

I don't know about running 38's but I ran the 37in. grapplers and used the torsion keys with very little rubbing at all.

nice pics
yep...thats would work great for me. thats all i really want to spend right now. btw, we have the same color truck, but i didnt get the chrome accents..

i would probably go 37" tires though, maybe even a gear swap at some point.
does this setup work ok with the air suspension setup?

would folks who have done this feel comfortable offroading it?
anyone running 37" tires on the stock rims and hows it working out?

thanks guys..

Well, congrats on the color!! Actually, when I looked at the H2 at the dealer it was at night in the showroom. They had an SUT and I really liked the color, thought it looked more like fusion orange. Well, I told them to get me one in in the SUV model and when it came in I went to go pick it up... I told them they had the wrong color!! At Noon when the sun was really bright it looked like it was red. Well, I did not like the color but I will say, It has grown on me. I really wanted a yellow truck but of course they no longer paint them yellow. The weird thing is I used to get allot of comments, especially when I lifted the truck but that was in 2003 - 2004 but not so many comments after that. I am getting comments again now on a daily basis the tires are the same. The lift is about the same height, I know its not the silver bumpers. The rims were the same size 20x10; They were Mickey Thompson Classic (fake) Bead locks. But I really think the difference is the color.

I do Love the color now. I like the whole changing color as you move around it thing.

Also... While I was waiting on my H2 to be delivered the dealer gave me a new white one to drive. It had no steps and it was harder getting in and out than my lifted 03.. I had the chrome steps and roof rack purchased before my truck was delivered.

I think its wrong that it?s an option now on the LUX series. It should be standard. Also sucks it?s a dealer installed option meaning the dealer can charge whatever they want there is no "list" price.

If I had not just got out of a lifted H2 and feeling so "inadequate" with the stock truck I would have just put the keys in and went with 37" or 38" but I also had bought the lift, rims, and tires before the truck.

Wink Re: Another lift question....

I'm running 37x12.5xr17 on stock wheels with a front leveling kit via new torsion keys from ready lift and i off road often and have no problems, but i have changed out other items, see my signature.
also i have very slight rubbing on full lock only, but i think that has to due with the type of tires i used due to the extended sidewall rubber on the tires.
