I never liked Goodyears, they always wear too fast and unevenly.

That's what I've got on the jeep, and you've seen what they do on rock. If aired down, they have pretty good traction, as far as mud, they don't clean out as good as the BFG Mud terrain. As far as wear, they are wearing good so far, and they are pretty quiet on the hiway. For an all around tire they are not bad. They are a heavy tire, and I have not had any problems balancing them. They look good IMO, and don't "woo woo" yet ! For a $100 bucks, I would definetly take 'em!
I personally prefer the SuperSwamper SSR, but it may be a little too agressive for everyday highway use.
Go to the *******club site for a review of a few different types of tires.

My thoughts exactly.

The only time I have encountered snow or ice with them is when I went to Tennessee this winter, so this isn't a big concern for me as I live in Atlanta.

The noise is not as bad as you'd think, IMO.

That's been my experience too. I had the AT's on my old truck and they wore out really fast.

I have a short memory so over the past 10 years I have punished myself over and over by buying the Goodyears for my Scout II (33"), my Comancahe (31") and they came on my Liberty. Every time I end up with less miles from them than the BFG's or Sport Kings. At least twice I had to take them back to the installer for replacements (side wall bubble once) and once I had one chunking. The dealer was insistant it was a out of line truck and bet me the price of an anlignment. He lost, truck was aligned and he replaced the tire. They do look good

For CAFE reasons, Goodyears that come on factory vehicles, particularly trucks, have softer rubber compounds (which wear faster) for less rolling resistance. I too have also seen many sets of Goodyear RT/S wear out at 30K miles. I had some AT/S that I bought aftermarket and they lasted over 60K. They were great in the snow (don't know 'bout mud or rock, it was just a little S-10 Blazer). When I replace the Bridgestones on my H3 (after they wear out), I am going to look at Goodyear's and Cooper's.

They wear too fast and deform the rubber also.

They only work well off road...

I used to run Coopers when I ice raced and ran rallys years ago, but if you view their recall status, they are up there and might even be number one.
Cooper in the past few years has even had tires found with chicken bones inside the tire carcass (thank you Mr. Upset Union person). They were a great American tire company, but I would never purchase one of their tires again.

Check out the info here... Tires

Some of it is about fitting on the H2 but I think the information on the different makes and their pros and cons is applicable.
