Default Raising the rear tire...

After seeing HumminNBoatin's rear tire carrier mod... http://elcovaforums.com/forums/showp...47&postcount=7 ...I just had to do it.

Instead of rebuilding the entire arm of the OEM carrier my guy at the local welding shop simply cut the "A" off and extended the legs by about 7". $75 and a couple cans of bed liner later...

What size tire is that? How's your view through the rear window now?

The tire's a 37". The view is limited...no sense using the rear wiper as the tire is bigger then the wiper radius...lol. I'm more of a mirror driver anyway since I drag the trailer a lot more nowadays.

This is by far one of my favorite mods as it really gives the truck a more rugged look...well worth the limited view IMO.

I can snap a photo of the view tomorrow if that would be helpful.
